Preparation:

  1. Boil water
  2. Squeeze lemon into cup of hot water
  3. Add ROCK salt/Himalayan Rock Salt (NOT iodized table salt) to taste

Side Effects of Lemon Water:

Lemon juice is potentially dangerous to be consumed WITHOUT Salt and Hot water. The possible threats could be,

  • Increased acidity that erodes tooth enamel & causes tooth sensitivity.
  • To limit the risk, drink lemon water through a straw, and rinse your mouth afterwards.
  • The acidic citric acid may stimulate heartburn in some people, where Others may experience relief from heartburn since lemons become alkaline in the digestive tract.
  • If lemons aggravate your heartburn, avoid drinking lemon water.
  • Frequent urination in few cases. (to be compensated with higher water intake.
